Dr. Zulkarnain Hassan is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering & Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis. He holds a PhD and MEng in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
Dr. Zulkarnain’s research specializes in hydrology and water resource management, with a particular emphasis on understanding and evaluating the impacts of climate change on water systems, including flooding and drought. His work aims to enhance flood prediction capabilities by developing advanced matrix-based models leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning. Additionally, he contributes to improving risk assessment methodologies for more accurate and reliable decision-making in water resource management.
